Register an application
Create a developer account, register the app, and get the client ID, client secret and webhook signing secret.
Navigate to: dashboard.trabalance.com/developer
A developer account is separate from a business login. It exists so one person can build an app that many different Trabalance businesses connect to, without belonging to any of them.
Email, a password of at least 8 characters, your name and company. A verification link is emailed to you. You can sign in immediately; verify before you rely on the account.
Name, description, website, and at least one redirect URI. The redirect URI is matched exactly at authorisation time — a trailing slash or a different port is a different URI, and the request is refused with invalid_client.
You receive a client ID, a client secret (shown once) and a webhook signing secret. See Credentials for what each is for.
Set it under Settings, then pick events under the Webhooks tab. Deliveries go out for every business that authorised your app and still holds a live access token.
The tabs
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Settings | Name, description, website, redirect URIs, webhook URL. Deactivate the app. |
| Credentials | Client ID, regenerate the client secret, the webhook signing secret, and a ready-made authorisation URL. |
| Tokens | One row per business with a live token: scopes, request count, last used, expiry. Revoke one, or revoke all. |
| Webhooks | Subscribe to events, and the delivery log for every POST to your webhook URL. |
| Audit | Every credential event on the app — created, secret regenerated, tokens revoked, subscriptions changed. |
You do not need an application at all. Ask that business's Super Administrator to mint you an API key. An OAuth app earns its keep when many unrelated businesses have to connect.
