Onboarding
Set up your business and configure each module with the guided checklist.
Getting a Trabalance business running is one short form and one short page. /register creates the account, the business and a 14-day trial of every module. /setup asks you to confirm the business details and tick a handful of plain questions about what the business does. Then you are on the dashboard, and the rest is ordinary configuration.
The path
| Step | What happens | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Create your account | Work email, name, password, country and business name. This creates the business, makes you its Super Administrator and starts the trial. | /register |
| Confirm your email | A link goes out with your welcome mail. Confirming proves we can reach you; it never blocks your work. | Your inbox |
| Confirm your business details | Name, country, the currency your books are kept in, and an optional address for your documents. | The first card of /setup |
| Say what the business does | What you sell, where it comes from, when money moves, and how many locations and departments you want separate scorecards for. | The rest of /setup |
| Set the books up | Profile, team, chart of accounts, items, parties, opening balances, templates — in an order where nothing is blocked by something you have not done yet. | Settings and the modules |
Set up my books saves the details and your answers and opens the dashboard; Skip for now opens the dashboard with nothing saved and nothing lost.
What the trial is
- 14 days of every module, counted from the day you register. No card, nothing to cancel.
- A strip under the top bar shows the days remaining, a progress bar and the end date.
- When it ends the business moves to the Free plan. Selling, buying and the books keep working; the modules outside Free are paused until a Super Administrator chooses a plan. Nothing is locked and nothing is deleted.
Nothing entered during onboarding is permanent. Business details live in Settings → Profile, the currency in Settings → Currency, colleagues in Settings → Team, and a Super Administrator can reopen /setup and answer the questions again at any time.
