The Employee Register
The list of everyone who works here — active and inactive, with search, filters, import, export and deactivation.
People → Personnel opens the register at /people/employees. It is the full list of everyone employed by the business, and the entry point to every personnel task.
Active and inactive
Two tabs sit above the table.
| Tab | Shows | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Everyone currently employed, including people On leave. | Search, filter, import, export, create, open a record, deactivate. |
| Inactive | People who have been deactivated, with the date and reason. | Review and reactivate. You cannot create, import or search from this tab. |
The Inactive tab is also reachable directly at /people/employees?status=inactive, which is where the Inactive employees shortcut on the People overview points.
Columns
| Column | Notes |
|---|---|
| Employee no | The record number assigned when the employee was created. |
| Name | Full name. Clicking the row opens the employee record. |
| Also the address a portal login is provisioned against. | |
| Phone | Stored in international format. |
| Job title | The position field on the record. |
| Department | Free text on the record. Also the basis of the department filter and the summary cards. |
| Work location | Where the person is based. |
| Bank | The bank salary is paid into, shown with its logo. |
Use Columns in the toolbar to hide any column you do not need. The choice is remembered.
Summary cards
Above the table, up to five cards show your five largest departments by headcount. Tapping a card filters the list to that department; tapping it again clears it. A Locations dropdown beside them narrows the list to one work location.
Finding people
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search | Searches the register on the server. Available on the Active tab. |
| Filter | A Department facet listing the departments actually present in the list. Pick as many as you need. |
| Department cards | A one-tap filter for your biggest departments. |
| Locations | Narrows to a single work location. |
Import and export
Import opens the employee importer — the fastest way to load an existing workforce, and the practical way to correct a field across many people at once. It reads a fixed set of columns and can create or update. See Importing employees.
Export produces the current list as CSV or PDF, respecting the filters you have applied and the columns you have visible.
Deactivating and reactivating
Select people on the Active tab and choose Deactivate to record a leaver with a reason and an effective date; select them on the Inactive tab and choose Reactivate to bring them back. Neither ever removes a payslip.
See Deactivating & reactivating for what each one actually does.
Where a row takes you
Clicking anyone opens their record — their profile, what they are paid, and what they have been paid.
