Uploading Files
Add one or more files to the workspace from the Files list, in one dialog.
Navigate to: Files → + New
Uploading happens in a dialog on the Files list. You can add several files at once, review the list, and take any of them off before you press Upload.
The dialog
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| Title | "Upload files" — "Add one or more files to your secure business workspace." |
| Upload Files | Opens the file picker. Choose several at once. |
| The drop zone | Shown while nothing is selected: "Drag and drop files here or click upload". Once files are listed, add more with the Upload Files button. |
| The list | Each chosen file with its name and size, and a ✕ to take it off before uploading. |
| Size note | "Maximum file size: 50 MB per file." |
| Cancel | Closes the dialog. Disabled while an upload is running — the dialog cannot be closed mid-upload. |
| Upload files | Sends every listed file. Reads "Uploading" until the server has stored them all. |
Finishing
A successful upload closes the dialog, shows "N files uploaded successfully" and refreshes the list back to page 1, where your files are at the top.
A failure is shown inside the dialog as well as in a toast, and your chosen files stay listed so you can remove the offending one and try again. Files are uploaded together: if the batch is refused for size or storage allowance, nothing is stored.
| Message | When |
|---|---|
| "Select at least one file to upload." | You pressed Upload with nothing listed. |
| "File <name> exceeds 50MB limit" | A file over the per-file ceiling — refused in the dialog before anything is sent, and again by the server. |
| A message naming the space used | The batch would take the business past its storage allowance. |
| "The files could not be uploaded. Please try again." | Anything else. Nothing was stored. |
A file uploaded here has no document to belong to, so it appears in the list with Import in both the Source and the Reference column. See Where files come from.
