Import History

Every CSV and Excel import ever run for the business — with the original file, the row counts, and a way to undo one.

Navigate to: Files → Import history (the URL is /files/imports)

"Every file ever imported is preserved here. Download to re-import or audit." This tab is the record of what was brought into the business from a spreadsheet — not the files you uploaded, which live on the Files tab.

Import history: the type filter, the run, and what you can do about it afterwards.

Columns

ColumnWhat it shows
DateWhen the import was run.
TypeWhat was imported — Customers, Vendors, Items, Journals, Chart of Accounts, Bank Statement, Opening Balance, and the rest.
FileThe original filename, as submitted.
RowsHow many rows the run carried.
SizeThe size of the source file.
Statussuccess, partial or failed.
ScanThe scan status recorded against the file. Where scanning is not configured it reads Not scanned.
ActionView errors, Reverse, Download and Delete — each shown when it applies.

Filter the list to one import type from the dropdown in the header. The pager is Previous / Next, 50 imports a page.

The row actions

ActionWhen it appearsWhat it does
View errorsThe run had rows that failedOpens the reason each row was rejected — the answer to "why is this partial?"
ReverseThe batch committed rows that can still be undoneUndoes what that import created. Reverse the import rather than deleting records one by one.
DownloadAlways, unless the file was quarantinedSaves the original spreadsheet — to correct and re-import, or to hand to an auditor.
DeleteAlways, unless the file is under legal holdPermanently deletes the stored source file after a confirmation. It does not undo the import — use Reverse for that.
⚠️Delete and Reverse are not the same thing

Delete removes the spreadsheet from storage; the records it created stay in your books. Reverse undoes the records; the spreadsheet stays. Deleting a source file cannot be undone, and a file under legal hold cannot be deleted at all.

Status

StatusMeaning
successEvery row was accepted.
partialSome rows were accepted and some were not. View errors lists which, and why.
failedNothing was accepted. The file is still here to correct and re-import.
✅Imported files count towards your storage allowance

The source files kept here are part of the business's total storage, alongside uploads and document attachments. A long history of large spreadsheets is worth a look if uploads start being refused.
