File List
Every file in the business, newest first, 50 to a page, with a download on every row.
Navigate to: Files (Administrator and Super Administrator)
The list is the whole workspace on one page: search at the top, the files beneath, and a download on every row that never makes you open the file first.
Columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The original filename, with its type read from the extension underneath ("PDF file", "CSV file"). |
| Source | A pill naming where the file came from — the document type it was attached to, or Journal, Payment Request, Attached, or Import for an upload made here. |
| Reference | The number of the document it belongs to. Uploads made here read Import; a document with no number reads —. |
| Uploaded | The date the file was added. |
| Action | Download — issues a checked, short-lived link and saves the original without opening the row. Reads "Preparing" while the link is issued. |
Rows are ordered by when the file was added, newest first. Click anywhere on a row except the Download button to open the file's detail page. Name is always shown; every other column can be hidden from the Columns menu.
Toolbar
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search files | Searches the whole business, not just the page on screen. See Searching files for what it matches. |
| Export page | CSV or PDF of the rows currently on screen — the page, not the whole list. |
| Columns | Hide or show any column except Name. |
| + New | Upload one or more files. See Uploading files. |
| Help | Opens the help note for this screen. |
The pager
50 files a page, with the range reading "1–50 of N" in the toolbar. Changing the search returns you to page 1. An empty business reads No files yet.
Export page writes exactly the rows on screen, with the columns you have chosen to show. To export a narrower set, search first and then export.
