File Detail
Everything Trabalance holds about one file, and a download checked against your business first.
Navigate to: Files → click a row (the URL is /files/<id>)
The detail page shows where a file came from and lets you download the original. It is deliberately small: a file carries only what Trabalance knows about it, and nothing is invented to fill the page.
What the page shows
| Element | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Files (back) | Returns to the list. |
| Header | A file icon, the eyebrow "File details" and the original filename. |
| Download | A primary button. Reads "Preparing" while the link is issued. |
| Source | A pill: where the file came from — the document type it was attached to, Journal, Payment Request, Attached, or Import for an upload made in Files. |
| Reference | The number of the document it belongs to, or —. |
| Uploaded | The date and time the file was added, to the minute. |
| Filename | The full name on its own, unbroken, so a long name can be read and copied. |
There is no rename, no delete, no preview and no version history on this page — a file in Trabalance is the bytes that were uploaded, unchanged.
File not found
A file that has been removed — or an id that belongs to another business — answers the same way: "File not found. This file may have been removed, or you may no longer have access to it." with a Back to files button.
Trabalance never confirms whether a file exists in someone else's business. A wrong id and another tenant's id give the same answer, so the page cannot be used to discover what other businesses hold.
