IFRS Account Groups

41 statement groups organized by financial statement section.

Statement groups are the 41 groupings that determine how accounts appear in financial statements. They are pre-defined by the system and IFRS-aligned. When you assign a statement group to an account, you are deciding which section of the Balance Sheet or Income Statement it lands in. Statement groups cannot be created, renamed, or deleted.

The statement-group list in the New Account modal — filtered to the chosen element, nested as sections and sub-sections, contra groups badged.

The 41 include the five element roots and the sections that group the leaf groups (for example Current Assets above Cash & Cash Equivalents). In the New Account modal you see every group beneath the chosen element, indented as it nests.

✅NOTE

Reference codes are assigned by the system and used for report ordering. They are not account codes — those are the 4–6 digit numbers on each individual account. The highest group code is 5900; there are no 6000- or 7000-series groups. Withholding and input-tax accounts sit under the existing groups (Tax Payable, Other Current Assets), not under groups of their own.
