When the Trial Ends
The business moves to the Free plan. Selling, buying and the books keep working — nothing is locked and nothing is deleted.
On day fifteen the business is on the Free plan. It is not a locked door and it is not a countdown to deletion: you keep trading, and everything recorded during the trial stays exactly where it is.
What the strip says
For a Super Administrator or Administrator: "Your trial ended on <date> and you are on the Free plan. Selling, buying and the books keep working; stock, making, jobs, people and the counter are paused until you choose a plan." — with Choose a plan beside it for the Super Administrator.
For everyone else, including Staff: the same fact, ending "please contact your administrator to choose a plan." The strip is shown to everyone at this point, because this is the day it actually affects everyone.
What keeps working
| Area | What you keep |
|---|---|
| The books | Chart of accounts and journals. |
| Selling | Customers, invoices, receipts, credit notes, opening balances, products and services, taxes. |
| Buying | Vendors, bills, expenses, payment vouchers, debit notes, opening balances. |
| Reading everything | Every record made during the trial stays readable — reports, ledgers, documents and history included. |
What pauses
| Area | What pauses |
|---|---|
| The counter | Sales receipts and the point-of-sale surfaces, and price lists. |
| Stock and making | Inventory and production. |
| Jobs | Projects, jobs, tasks and timesheets. |
| People | Payroll, personnel and payment requests. |
| What you own | Fixed assets. |
| The rest | Planning targets, group companies, bank reconciliation and auto-matching, cash-flow, portal links, loyalty and performance. |
Paused means you can no longer add to them, not that they are gone. Attempting one answers plainly: "This is not part of the Free plan. Choose a plan to switch it on."
Reads stay open on purpose. A pay run, a production batch or a stock movement recorded during the trial still exists, still appears in your reports and still supports the balances they produced. Choosing a plan later switches the module back on over the same data.
Choosing a plan
Choose a plan goes to the plans page, which is guarded to the Super Administrator — the role that owns billing. An Administrator sees the strip but not the button, because a button that bounces you back to the dashboard is worse than no button at the moment we are asking for money.
The Free rules apply to a business whose subscription rows are all expired trials. As soon as one is paid, everything above stops applying.
