Stage 1 — Business Setup
Create your account at /register. One form creates the business, makes you its Super Administrator and starts the trial.
Navigate to: /register — "Create your account"
Stage 1 is one card. There is no plan to choose, no module picker and no card to enter: every signup starts on the same footing, and the plan is a decision for later, inside the product.
The fields
| Field | Required? | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Work email | Yes | A valid email address. It is your sign-in name and where both signup emails go. An address that is already registered is told so on the field — "An account already exists for this email address. Sign in instead, or reset your password." — with Sign in directly below the form. |
| First name / Last name | Yes | 2–100 characters each. |
| Password | Yes | At least 8 characters, containing a letter and a number. The three checks appear under the field as you type and turn green as they are met. |
| Country | Yes | Searchable list. "Sets your currency, tax and statutory configuration." |
| Business name | Yes | 2–255 characters. Prefilled into /setup, where you confirm it. |
| Terms | Yes | You must agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. |
Create account stays disabled until every field is valid and the terms are ticked. On success you see "Account created. Welcome to Trabalance." and land on /setup.
What that one step creates
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| The business | In the country you chose. Its name, currency and address are confirmed on the next screen. |
| Your user | The business's Super Administrator — the only role that can choose a plan, invite the team or reopen /setup. |
| A 14-day trial of every module | The end date is fixed on the day you register and never recalculated afterwards. |
| Two emails | A welcome message naming what you hold and when the trial ends, and a link that confirms your address. |
Both emails are sent after your account exists, so a mail problem can never cost you the account. If neither arrives, sign in anyway and send yourself a fresh confirmation link from the strip under the top bar.
The app says so, rather than shrugging: "This is taking longer than usual. If a welcome email arrives, your account was created — sign in with the password you chose. Otherwise, try again in a minute."
Registration never asks for a currency. You set the one your books are kept in on the next screen — see Your business details — and it is worth reading before you record anything.
