Onboarding

Your Business Details

The first card on /setup: name, country, the currency your books are kept in, and an optional address.

Navigate to: /setup → the Your business card (Super Administrator only)

Registration already knows your business name and country, so /setup opens with them filled in. This card is where you confirm them and add the two things registration never asked for: the currency the books are kept in, and an address for your documents.

The Your business card at the top of /setup, prefilled from registration.

The fields

FieldRequired?Details
Business nameYesPrefilled from registration. At least 2 characters. This is the name on your documents and in the top bar.
CountryNoPrefilled from registration. A searchable list of every country.
CurrencyYesA three-letter currency code — "the currency your books are kept in." A named list of every currency your browser knows.
AddressNo"Optional. Appears on your documents."

Set the currency before you record anything

Registration never asks for a currency; this card is where you set it. Every figure in the books — every invoice total, every balance, every report — is kept in it, so confirm it here, before the first transaction.

⚠️Check the currency even if it looks right

The field arrives with a value already in it. Read it before you continue: a business that starts recording in the wrong currency has to restate everything it has already entered, because the figures themselves carry no currency of their own.

Where it is saved

Set up my books writes this card through the same call Settings → Profile uses — there is no separate onboarding copy of your business details, and nothing here is a wall. Change any of it later:

✅Who can open this page

/setup is guarded to the Super Administrator — the person who registered the business. A colleague invited later never sees it, and never has to.
