Confirming Your Email

A confirmation link goes out the moment your account is created. Confirming proves we can reach you — it never blocks your work.

Navigate to: the link in your inbox, or the strip under the top bar on any page

Registration sends two emails: a welcome message, and a link that confirms the address is really yours. Confirming proves the mailbox is reachable — the address your documents, statements and password resets will be sent to. Until you confirm, everything still works.

The strip that asks, and the page the link lands on.

The strip that asks

ElementWhat it is
The message"Confirm your email address. We sent a link to <your address> — check your inbox and spam folder. Your account works as normal either way."
Resend linkSends a fresh link. It always goes to your own address — the address is taken from your session, never from anything typed into the page.
SentA green pill, shown only once the server confirms a mail actually left. A cooldown or a failure is reported as itself, not as a success.
DismissHides the strip for this browser session. It returns on your next sign-in until the address is confirmed.

Who sees it

The strip is shown to an account that was sent a link and has not confirmed yet. Every new signup is in that group, because a link goes out at registration.

An account created before confirmation existed was never asked, and is never nagged: it sees only its status in the profile menu, which reads Unverified · Send confirmation link. Ask for a link there and the strip applies from then on, until you confirm.

Resending

What you get backWhy
"We've sent a link to <your address>."A fresh link is on its way.
"A link was sent a moment ago. Try again in N minutes."There is a five-minute cooldown, so a double click does not send two.
"That is the limit for today. Try again tomorrow."Five links a day per address.
"This address is already confirmed."Nothing left to do.
"We couldn't send the link right now. Try again in a few minutes."The mail could not be sent. Nothing is claimed that did not happen.

The link opens a page of its own and redeems the token once. It is public on purpose — you may be reading the mail on a phone while signed in on a laptop, and being made to sign in first would defeat the point.

What you seeWhat it means
"Email confirmed"Done. Carry on to the dashboard, or close the tab.
"Already confirmed"The address was confirmed earlier. Nothing further to do.
"That link has expired"Confirmation links last 24 hours. Sign in and use the strip to send a fresh one.
"That link isn't valid"It may already have been used. Send a fresh one from the strip.
ℹ️Confirming gates nothing

An unconfirmed account signs in and works normally — every module, every document, every report. Verification is about whether we can rely on reaching you, and a bounced or spam-filtered mail must never turn into a lockout. Confirmation is held against the address, not against one business, so confirming once covers you in every business you belong to on that mailbox.
