Access and Committee Roles

Who can open the Planner, and what each committee role on a plan is allowed to do.

Two things decide what a person can do in the Planner: their role in the business, and — for the collaboration tabs — their role on that particular plan's committee.

A committee role, set per person per plan.

Who Can Open the Planner

Business rolePlanner
Super AdministratorFull access. Sees the Planner home, creates plans, edits grids, exports.
AdministratorFull access, the same as Super Administrator.
StaffNo access, under any condition. Staff is a self-service role and the Planner is never part of it.
Every other roleThe plan list, the plan page, the grid, and the exports of the whole portfolio are reserved for the two administrator roles.
⚠️Committee membership does not, on its own, open a plan

The committee roster, comments, attachments, share settings, and the single-plan export are written to accept an administrator or a committee member. The plan page itself, the grid, and the plan list are administrator-only. In practice this means a non-administrator you add to a committee cannot reach the plan to use those tabs. If someone needs to work on a plan, give them an administrator role in the business.

Committee Roles

Roles are set per person per plan on the Committee tab. They run lowest to highest, and each one carries everything below it.

A person may hold a role on a whole plan or on a single target row. Where both exist, the higher of the two applies, and a role held on the plan reaches every row inside it.

Center Scoping

A plan can be scoped to one center when it is created. That scope narrows the actual figures the plan reads, not who may open the plan.

Plan typeDoes the center scope narrow its actuals?
SalesYes — only that center’s posted sales documents count.
PurchasesYes — only that center’s posted purchase documents count.
ProductionYes — only runs at that production center count.
PayrollYes — only employees at that center count.
ExpensesNo — the account’s activity is read company-wide.
Cash FlowNo — the account’s movement is read company-wide.
⚠️Center scope on Expenses and Cash Flow plans

Choosing a center on an Expenses or Cash Flow plan changes the plan's label but not its figures — the actual read for each account is the company-wide figure for the period. If you need per-center expense budgeting today, read the numbers from the Finance reports, which do filter by center.
