The Planner Home

Every plan for a year in one list, four portfolio cards above it, and the filters that decide what you are looking at.

Navigate to: Planner. This is the landing page for the module — the portfolio view. Everything else in the Planner is reached from here.

The Planner home: portfolio cards, filters, module pills, and one card per plan.

The Four Portfolio Cards

CardWhat It Counts
Active PlansPlans whose period contains today, for the selected year and module. The sub-label adds how many are upcoming and how many are past.
Total TargetThe sum of every target line on the plans that match the year and module filters. The sub-label names the year, and the module when one is selected.
AttainmentActual as a percentage of target across active plans, with the two figures beneath it. Reads an em-dash when there are no active targets.
Plans At RiskHow many active plans sit below 50% attainment. Reads "Everything on track" at zero.
ℹ️Two of the cards read different sets

Total Target follows the year and module filters and counts every plan those filters return — active, upcoming, and past alike. Attainment and Plans At Risk are computed only from active plans: top-level plans whose period contains today. A plan linked as a sub-plan of a P&L plan is not counted in either of those two.

Filters

ControlOptionsEffect
YearLast year, this year, next yearReturns plans whose period overlaps that calendar year. Fetched from the server.
StatusAll · Active · Upcoming · PastFilters the list already on screen, by comparing the plan period with today.
SearchFree textMatches the plan name or its module. Filters the list on screen.
SortNewest first · By period start · Best performing · Needs attention"Best performing" and "Needs attention" order by attainment; plans with no attainment figure sort last and first respectively.
Module pillsAll Modules · Sales · Purchases · Expenses · Production · Payroll · Cash Flow · P&LFetched from the server. All eight pills are always shown, including types you have no plans for.

A line above the list reads "Showing n of m plans" so you can see when a filter is hiding something.

A Plan Card

Each row is one plan and opens its page. The card carries:

  • The plan name, a module badge, and a status badge.
  • The period dates, the grid-column type, the number of rows (items, accounts, or employees), the number of periods, and a relative reading of the period — "42 days remaining", "Starts in 12 days", "Ended 30 days ago".
  • For a plan that has targets and is currently active: a progress bar, actual against target in compact form, and the attainment percentage.

StatusMeaning
CompletedThe period has ended. Shown regardless of attainment.
UpcomingThe period has not started yet.
ExceededActive, 100% attainment and above.
On TrackActive, 80% to 99%.
At RiskActive, 50% to 79%.
BehindActive, 1% to 49%.
No ActivityActive, 0% — targets set, nothing posted against them yet.
ActiveThe period contains today but no attainment figure was returned for the card. A P&L plan and its linked sub-plans read this way.

Empty States

  • No plans at all for the year — "No plans for 2026", an explanation of what a plan is, and a Create your first plan button.
  • Plans exist but the filters hide them all — "No plans match your filters" and a Clear filters button that resets module, status, search, and sort together.

Header Actions

Three buttons sit at the top right: Excel and PDF, which export the portfolio, and New Plan. See Exporting the portfolio and Creating a plan.

A banner appears above the cards when the business holds targets that were created before plans existed. See Migrating legacy targets.
