Planner

Attachments and Comments

Keep the paperwork and the argument with the plan — the memo it came from, and the discussion that changed it.

A budget is the output of a conversation and a stack of supporting work. Two tabs on every plan keep both attached to the number instead of scattered across inboxes.

The Attachments and Comments tabs of a plan.

Attachments

The Attachments tab holds files pinned to the plan — the budget memo, the board pack, the pricing model the rates came from. An empty tab suggests as much: "No files yet. Pin a budget memo, board deck, or supporting analysis to this plan."

ActionHow
UploadChoose or drop files into the upload field. They upload as soon as they are chosen — there is no separate save step, and several can go at once.
OpenClick the filename. It opens in a new tab.
RemoveThe bin icon on the row, with a confirmation.

Each row shows the filename, the size, who uploaded it, and when. A file being uploaded is shown greyed with "Uploading…" until it lands, so a large file never looks like it failed.

ℹ️Attachments are reference, not data

Nothing in an uploaded file is read into the plan. A spreadsheet of targets attached here is a record of the working, not an import — targets are entered in the grid.

Comments

The Comments tab is a plain thread against the plan. Type into the box, press Post, and the comment appears at once with your name and the time.

ActionWho can
Post a commentAnyone with Commenter, Editor, or Owner on the plan.
Edit a commentIts author only. An edited comment is marked "edited" beside its timestamp.
Delete a commentIts author, with a confirmation.

Comments are a flat list in the order they were posted — there are no replies, no mentions, and no notifications. Someone has to be looking at the plan to see them, so name the person you are asking in the text.

ℹ️What to put in a comment

The reasoning, not the number. "August cut to 90 units — the second sales hire slipped to September" is worth reading in six months. "Updated August" is not: the figure already says that.
