Planner

Sharing a Plan

A read-only public link to a plan's progress, for someone who has no Trabalance login — and how to switch it off again.

Boards, investors, and lenders often need to see how a plan is tracking without being given a seat in the product. The Share tab turns a plan into a link anyone can open.

The Share tab, and the sanitized view a recipient sees.

Turning It On

1
Open the Share tab on the plan

It explains what the link does before you switch anything: anyone with the link can view this plan's progress, and the token can be rotated at any time.

2
Flip the toggle

A token is generated the first time and the link appears beneath.

3
Copy the link

Copy puts it on the clipboard and confirms. The field is read-only — clicking it selects the whole link so you can copy it by hand if the clipboard is blocked.

The link carries a random token, not the plan's identifier, so it cannot be guessed from another plan's link.

What a Recipient Sees

A clean page headed Plan · Shared view, with the plan name, its type badge, its period, and its grid-column type. Beneath that:

Plan typeWhat is shown
Sales, Purchases, Expenses, Cash Flow, Production, PayrollOne card per period — the dates, actual against target, the attainment percentage, and a progress bar in the usual colours.
P&LIncome, Expenses, and Net Profit — actual against target, with progress bars.
A plan with no targets yet"This plan has no targets yet."

The figures are live: the recipient sees the actuals as they stand when they open the page, not as they stood when you sent the link.

What Is Stripped

Not sharedWhy it matters
The plan’s notesInternal commentary never leaves the business.
The center the plan is scoped toThe recipient cannot tell which branch the figures belong to.
Who created the planNo internal names.
The committee, comments, and attachmentsThe discussion stays private.
The grid, and any way to editThe shared view is read-only, with no controls.
Per-row breakdownThe public view is period totals only — it never names your items, accounts, or employees.

Turning It Off, and Rotating

ActionEffect
Toggle offSharing stops and the token is cleared. The link stops resolving — a recipient sees "Plan not available".
RotateIssues a fresh token. Every link handed out before this stops working immediately. The app asks to confirm first.
Toggle back on after switching offA new token is generated, so the old link does not come back.
⚠️A link has no password and no expiry

Anyone holding the link can open the plan, and it stays live until you toggle sharing off or rotate the token. Treat it as public. Rotate after any circulation you did not intend, and switch sharing off once the plan has served its purpose.

ℹ️Sharing is per plan

Turning sharing on for one plan does nothing to any other, including sub-plans of a shared P&L plan — each is shared, or not, on its own.
