Group Reporting
The Group Management Report and the consolidated view across companies you hold a role in.
When one login belongs to more than one business, Reporting gains a Group button on the hub and two group surfaces: the Group Management Report — a standard report with one column per company — and the consolidated view with a trial balance, an overview and a profit and loss across the group.
/reporting/group opens the management report at /reporting/group/management; the consolidated view lives at /reporting/group/consolidated.
What Makes a Group
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Linked family first | A parent business and the companies created by promoting its centers form a group, with the parent leading. |
| Otherwise, ownership | If no links exist, the group is every business where you are an Administrator or Super Administrator, led by the business you are signed into. A junior role in someone else's business never pulls it in. |
| Membership is gated per company | A company is disclosed only where you hold an active role. Others are counted, never named — every group response states how many companies are included and how many are excluded. |
Companies reporting in different currencies are not summed. When currencies differ the consolidated figures are withheld with the message that companies report in different currencies, and the management report withholds its Total column with a stated reason.
Group Management Report
Navigate to: Reporting → Group or All reports → Group Management Report (/reporting/group/management)
A statement in the standard report shell — so it exports to PDF, Excel and CSV, emails and schedules like every other report. It requires the Journals feature; its inventory section additionally requires Inventories and is withheld with a message rather than dropped when that grant is missing. Columns are Line, one column per company, and Total. The period is normalised to whole months and the report says so.
| Section | Lines |
|---|---|
| Profit & loss — period | Revenue, Cost of sales, Gross profit, Gross margin, Operating expenses, Operating profit, Other income, Other expenses, Net profit, Net margin, Share of group income |
| Cash at bank — as at | Bank and cash accounts, expanded, then Total cash at bank |
| Receivables and payables — as at | Accounts receivable, Accounts payable, Net receivable position |
| Inventory — current holding at cost | Inventory by item (row-limited, remainder as Other items), Total inventory at cost |
Empty sections are omitted; the P&L always prints. Excluded companies produce the note N group companies are not shown — you don't hold a role there.
Consolidated View
Navigate to: /reporting/group/consolidated
One page with three views, chosen by a segmented control — Overview (default), Trial balance, Profit & loss — and a Print / PDF button. Filters are month and year selects (a single month for the trial balance, from-and-to months for the others), offering the last three years.
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Group overview tiles — Group revenue, Group net profit, Group cash, Biggest contributor — then Contribution by company (rank, Company, Revenue, Share, Net profit, Margin, Cash, Receivables, Payables) and Standouts: Most profitable, Biggest spender, Best margin. |
| Trial balance | Consolidated trial balance tiles — Companies included, Consolidated debits, Consolidated credits, Balanced — an Intercompany eliminations card, the Consolidated (eliminated) table (Account, Debit, Credit), then one table per company. |
| Profit & loss | Consolidated profit & loss tiles — Companies included, Income, Expenses, Net profit — an Intercompany trading note, a By company statement and a Consolidated statement. |
With only one company the page shows No group linked yet.
Intercompany eliminations
Eliminations apply to the consolidated trial balance only. Accounts flagged as intercompany receivable or payable are matched, and the matched amount — the smaller of the intercompany debit and credit — is eliminated as a balanced journal. Any residue is put back on the face of the statement as a row named Intercompany — unmatched, and the response states the gross and eliminated figures. The profit and loss and overview do not eliminate intercompany trading, and say so.
