Adding Rows to a Plan

Rows define what you are planning. Each row is an item, an account, or an employee — you add them from a searchable list grouped by category.

A plan with no rows is empty. Rows are the subjects of your forecast — the things you are assigning a target to. The task is the same on every plan type; only the source of the rows differs.

The Add Item list open above the grid, built from the same components the app uses.

The Task

1
Open the list

The button at the right of the grid toolbar is labelled for the plan type: Add Item, Add Product, Add Account, or Add Employee. It opens a panel below the button with the search box focused.

2
Find what you want

Type to filter as you go — search matches the row's name or its category. Rows sit under uppercase category headers, and each row shows its code on the right: the item's SKU, the account code, or the employee number.

3
Add one, or add the group

Click a row to add it. Or use Add all (n) on a category header to add every row in that group at once — the fastest way to build an expense budget across a whole account group.

4
Save

A row added but never given a figure writes nothing. Fill at least one cell, then Save Changes.

What the List Tells You

The list saysMeaning
A grouped list of rowsNormal. Everything shown can still be added.
"All items already added"Every available row is already in the grid.
"No matches"Your search matched nothing. Clear it.
"No items available — Create some first to add them as targets."The business has no rows of that kind at all. Create the items, accounts, or employees first.

Rows already in the grid are never listed, so you cannot add the same row twice.

Removing Rows

Hover a row's name in the grid and click the × that appears. The row and its figures leave the grid you are editing.

⚠️Removing a row does not delete saved targets

Save Changes writes the cells that hold a value; it deletes nothing. A row that was already saved comes back, with its figures, the next time the grid is opened — and it keeps counting toward the plan's totals in the meantime. To genuinely remove a target, delete it from the target row page.

Row Order

Rows appear in the order they were added and cannot be dragged into a different order. The plan's Overview does rank rows — by attainment, by actual, or by target — so use that view when you want them ordered. See By item.
