The Plan Summary

The band at the top of a plan's Overview — the attainment ring, the headline figures, and the Target vs Actual chart.

Before the period-by-period detail, a plan opens with a single answer: how is the whole plan doing?

The summary band at the top of a plan's Overview.

The Ring

A ring on the left shows the plan's overall attainment with the percentage in the middle. It takes its colour from the same five-band scale as everything else in the Planner — purple at 100% and above, green from 80%, yellow from 50%, red below. The ring fills to 100% and stops; the number keeps counting past it.

The percentage is value actual ÷ value target across every period and every row.

The Figures Beside It

FigureShown onWhat it is
RevenueSales, Purchases, Production plansActual value across the plan, with the target beneath. Labelled "Revenue" on every Quantity × Rate plan, including cost-side ones.
AmountExpenses, Cash Flow, Payroll plansActual amount across the plan, with the target beneath.
QuantityQuantity × Rate plans with a unit targetActual units against target units.
Avg PriceQuantity × Rate plansActual value ÷ actual units, with the planned average beneath it — an em-dash until units have been posted.
PeriodsEvery planHow many periods the plan has, and how many are done, active, and upcoming.
ℹ️Average price is the most useful figure here

It separates the two ways a plan misses. Units below plan with the average price on target means a volume problem. Units on plan with the average price below means discounting. Both short means neither hypothesis on its own explains it.

Target vs Actual by Period

A bar chart appears beneath the summary once the plan has more than one period. Each period gets a pair of bars.

BarColourMeaning
TargetLight blueThe target for that period.
Actual — metGreenActual reached or beat the target for that period.
Actual — belowOrangeActual fell short.
Either bar, muted greyGreyAn upcoming period. The target bar is drawn muted and the actual bar has no height.

The current period's label is picked out in the brand colour and set in bold, so you can find "now" at a glance. Hovering a pair shows the period label with both figures.

ℹ️One plan has one currency

A plan is created in the business currency and every figure on the page — cards, chart, breakdowns — is shown in it. There is no per-row currency.
