Composed Reports
Combine existing reports into one printable pack with your own header, block order and chart choices.
A composed report is a personal pack: a header you design, an ordered list of blocks, and — optionally — fields someone types when the pack is run. Each block is a report you can already open, fetched live through the report engine when the pack is viewed. The server stores the definition only; it never interprets or executes it.
Navigate to: Reporting → + Custom report (/reporting/custom/new), or My reports → New report → Composed report
Building a Composed Report
Name (required, up to 120 characters), Description (optional, up to 500) and Default period — This month, Last month or This year. The date range the report opens with — you can change it any time while viewing.
What the run page and the printed pack open with: Header title (defaults to the report name), Subtitle, Prepared by, Show business name, Show period line and a Header note that prints under the header.
Fields someone types when the report is run as a pack — physical cash, visitors, weather. Each has a Field label and a Type of Number / amount or Text. System figures never need a field; they load automatically.
Add block, then for each block pick the Report (grouped by category, only reports you can open), a Group by where the report offers one (or Default), an optional Block title (blank uses the report's own name) and Display as — the starting view. Blocks move up and down and can be removed.
A name and at least one block with a report are required. Saving opens the run page.
Display as offers the same views as a report page: Table, Bar chart, Column chart, Pie chart, Donut, Line, Area, Pareto, Radial, Treemap, Funnel, Progress, Cards. The starting view — every view stays one tap away on the run page.
The Run Page
A saved composed report opens at /reporting/custom/<id>.
| Element | Details |
|---|---|
| Masthead | Business name (if shown), header title, subtitle, Period: from → to (if shown), Prepared by, and the header note. |
| Date range bar | Quick presets plus From and To dates. The report opens on its default period. |
| Blocks | Each block fetches its report for the range and renders it as a table or the chosen chart, with its own view switcher. A block with nothing in the range reads No data for the selected period; a block that could not load says so. |
| Print / PDF | Prints the pack. The app shell drops away — the printed output is the masthead and blocks, nothing else. |
| Edit | Reopens the builder. |
A report with no blocks invites you to Edit it to add some.
Blocks are fetched through the same gated report endpoint as the catalog. If your access to a report is removed after you composed a pack, that block fails to load rather than showing data you can no longer open.

A composed report is the right shape for a recurring management pack; for a locked end-of-day snapshot with system figures and manager entries, use a daily pack instead.
