Sales Plan
The Sales Plan is your revenue forecast — product by product, period by period. Each cell holds a quantity and a rate that multiply to the planned revenue for that row and period.
Navigate to: Planner → + New Plan → Type: Sales
The Sales Plan answers one question for each period: how many units of each product do we expect to sell, and at what price? The plan does not record what happened — it records what you expect to happen. Actual results come from posted sales documents.
Row Source
Rows come from the item catalog — active items of type Product or Service, grouped by type, with the SKU shown. Use Add Item to search and select, or Add all to add every item in a group at once.
Cell Mode: Qty × Rate
Each cell holds two values:
- Quantity — the number of units you plan to sell in that period
- Rate (price per unit) — the planned selling price per unit for that period
The cell displays the computed value (quantity × rate). The Total column sums each row across periods; the Total row sums each period across rows.
Example
| Item | Jan | Feb | Mar | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard License | 35,880 | 35,880 | 41,860 | 113,620 |
| Professional License | 26,955 | 26,955 | 35,940 | 89,850 |
| Setup & Onboarding | 42,400 | 36,000 | 42,400 | 120,800 |
| Annual Support Plan | 36,000 | — | 36,000 | 72,000 |
| Total | 141,235 | 98,835 | 156,200 | 396,270 |
Standard License in January is 120 units at 299. March plans 140 units at the same rate.
Actuals
Open the plan (not the grid) to see targets against actuals. For each item and period the actual revenue and quantity come from posted invoices, sales receipts, and credit notes — drafts are never counted. A plan scoped to a center counts that center's documents only.
The Overview shows revenue and units against target for the whole plan, per period, and per item, with a status badge and a progress bar: Exceeded at 100% and above, On Track from 80%, At Risk from 50%, Behind below 50%, and No Activity at 0%. See Progress Display.
The rate you enter is your forecast price — it does not have to match the price in the item catalog. If you anticipate a price increase mid-year, enter a lower rate in the early periods and a higher rate later. The Overview also shows the average unit price actually achieved against the average you planned.
A plan is created in the business currency, and the plan page displays every figure in it.
