E-Signature and Stamp
Add an authorized-signature area, your own e-signature, and a company stamp placeholder to PDF documents — giving them the visual authority of a signed document while remaining fully digital.
Navigate to: Settings → Documents & workflows → Templates → PDF Document → Signature & Stamp
The Signature & Stamp section of a PDF template adds a signature area and a stamp placeholder to the document. The signature image itself is yours — each user draws or types their own in the E-Signature editor, and the template decides whether it prints.
Template Settings
| Setting | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Signature Line | When on, an authorized-signature area is placed on the document. When off, no signature area appears regardless of the other settings. |
| Signature Mode | Line Only — a printed line and label. E-Signature — your saved signature image. Both — the image above the line. |
| Your signature | Shown when the mode is E-Signature or Both: the current image, with Set Up (none yet) or Change. |
| Signature Label | The text printed below the signature. Default "Authorized Signature"; e.g. "Approved By", "Director". |
| Company Stamp | When on, a labelled stamp placeholder box is placed beside the signature area. |
| Stamp Label | The text inside the stamp box. Default "Company Stamp". |
These settings are saved with the template, per document type (and per center when a center-specific template is in use).
Drawing a Signature
Click Set Up (or Change) beside "Your signature". The editor shows your current signature, if any, with a bin icon to remove it.
On the Draw tab, sign above the line with a mouse or trackpad. On a touchscreen, use your finger or stylus for a more natural result.
Click Clear to start over. Signatures rarely look right on the first attempt with a mouse — take a few tries until it looks natural.
Click Save Signature. It is stored as a PNG image against your user and used wherever a template's mode is E-Signature or Both.
Typing a Signature
If you prefer not to draw, use the Type tab: enter your name (up to 50 characters) and pick one of four script styles — Classic, Formal, Brush, Handwriting. The rendered text is saved as the signature image.
An e-signature is personal — each user keeps their own, and a document prints the signature of the user who generates it. The stamp is a labelled placeholder box drawn by the template; there is no stamp image upload.
The signature and stamp are placed in the summary area of the document body, below the totals and above the footer. You can see the placement in the template preview to the right of the settings.
